Marc Jacobs defends Kate Moss' appearance on Louis Vuitton catwalk - cigarette, cellulite and all

"SHE WAS PERFECT" said MArc Jacobs

She's considered one of the world's most beautiful women - so Kate Moss's less-than-perfect thighs raised eyebrows when she walked the catwalk for Louis Vuitton in Paris earlier this month.
But according to the label's creative director, Marc Jacobs, the model was nothing less than flawless.
In a video posted on the Louis Vuitton website, the American-born designer said: 'She was perfect.'

Poor role model: The 37-year-old's smoking stunt at Paris Fashion Week fuelled criticism across the globe

But the pair's delighted opinion of Miss Moss's performance was at odds with many media commentators, who criticised her for smoking a cigarette.
The Daily Mail's Jan Moir wrote: 'Just when you think the health message sent out by the fashion world couldn’t get any more corroded or perverse, Moss lights a spark under a whole new bonfire of vanities.
'At a time when the catwalk ideal appears to be a size-zero pre-pubescent with the approximate dimensions of an ironing board or a drifting unisex waif with the unhappy mien of an abused alien, Kate throws tobacco into the toxic mix, too.'

Naughty but nice: Naomi Campbell, left, was among several top models to appear alongside Miss Moss
