Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson share uncomfortable cuddle

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Awkward? Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon posed for pictures on the red-carpet for the premiere of their new film, Water For Elephants, at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City

After already complaining about getting intimate with Twilight star Robert Pattinson this week, Reese Witherspoon was once again forced to cozy up close to her younger co-star tonight.

The pair shared an uncomfortable cuddle as they posed for pictures on the red-carpet for the premiere of their new film, Water For Elephants, at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City.

The awkward embrace comes after the 35-year-old actress revealed that her steamy sex scenes with the 24-year-old were anything but enjoyable.

Pretty in puffball: Reese was radiant in a cream Jason Wu puffball mini dress which had a stunning fine black floral embroidery scattered around the skirt and bodice

Reese described her kissing scenes with the Twilight hunk as 'unpleasant'.

'He had a very runny nose,' she told MTV, adding: 'It wasn’t appealing. It wasn’t pleasant.'

Reese, who married talent agent Jim Toth last month, offered her co-star some advice for his future kissing scenes too.

'Bring a Sudafed,' she joked.

Reese could barely force a smile on the arm of Robert, who had his arm wrapped around her waist.

The duo appeared more comfortable when they posed with their co-star Hal Holbrook, who plays the older version of Pattinison's character.

Regardless of their lacklustre chemistry, the two co-stars looked equally elegant for tonight's occasion.

Three's a crowd? Reese and Robert also posed with their 86-year-old co-star Hal Holbrook, who plays the older version of Pattinison's character

The recently married actress also showed off her wedding band set, which she received from Toth when the pair exchanged vows only weeks before.

Robert, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with his 21-year-old Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, looked dashing in a checked charcoal suit with a white shirt and burgundy tie.

While Kristen wasn't on hand to escort him down the red-carpet, the handsome British actor did have his two older sisters, Victoria and Lizzy Pattinson for moral support.

'I smoked weed in college, but I'm too old now': Natalie Portman on her 'stoner' past as she stars in TWO comedies about the drug

By Andrea Magrath

Stoner past: Natalie Portman discusses her fondness for marijuana back in her college days

With an Oscar for Black Swan under her belt, perhaps Natalie Portman feels it's time to put her feet up and relax with some less serious roles for a change.

The actress, who has long received critical acclaim for her dramatic roles, is set to star in two upcoming 'stoner comedies'.

The first, Your Highness, is released this month, while the just-announced Best Buds will have to wait until after the birth of her first child this summer.

And Natalie, 29, says it's an area she has quite a bit of experience in, from her days at Harvard University.

'I love stoner comedies. I smoked weed in college, but I haven’t smoked in years,' she has told Entertainment Weekly.

'I’m too old. I wish I was that cool, but I’m like an old lady now. I’m in bed by 10 p.m. I can’t do that anymore.'

Her comments were made before she announced her pregnancy this year.

The actress graduated from Harvard in 2003 with a B.A. in Psychology.

During her education there she only made two films, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and a small role in Cold Mountain.

She told the New York Post at the time: 'I don't care if college ruins my career. I'd rather be smart than a movie star.'

But it appears Natalie did more in her dorm room than just studying.

And she has enjoyed reliving her 'stoner' days in Your Highness, the medieval comedy in which she stars alongside James Franco and Danny McBride.

High times: The actress stars in Your Highness, a medieval comedy about brothers with a weed habit on a quest

She plays Isabel, a mysterious warrior, who joins brothers Thadeous and Fabious in their quest to rescue Fabious' bride Belladonna from an evil sorcerer.

Their efforts are hindered by lazy Thadeous' fondness for smoking weed.

Natalie will produce and star in Best Buds. She will play a bride-to-be who blows off her wedding for a marijuana-fuelled road trip to San Diego with her two best friends.

Bad habit: Natalie will also produce and star in Best Buds, about a bride who ditches her wedding to go on a marijuana-fuelled road trip with her friends

The morning after the night before! Bradley Cooper flat out cold in new trailer for The Hangover 2

By Daily Mail Reporter

Out cold: Bradley Cooper wakes up with one sore head as he reprises his role as Phil Wenneck in The Hangover 2

There are hangovers... and then there are the mother-of-all hangovers.

Bradley Cooper wakes up with one sore head as he reprises his role as Phil Wenneck in The Hangover 2.

Out cold on the floor, the 36-year-old actor is pale, clammy and red-eyed.

Troubles: Cooper wakes up in what appears to be the aftermath of a wild night in an empty Bangkok hotel room, while Alan Gardner, played by Zach Galifianakis falls off a bunk bed with shaved head

His antics are all in the name of the hotly-anticipated sequel to the first film, The Hangover, which grossed a staggering $467,416,722 worldwide, making it the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever in the United States.

The sequel is a relatively similar format to its 2009 predecessor: After Phil, Alan, played by Zach Galifianakis and Stu, played by Ed Helms throw a wild bachelor party in Bangkok, they're forced to piece together their night after being roofied (drugged with Rohypnol) during their boys' night out.

This time the group have swapped Las Vegas for Thailand for the bachelor party for hapless Stu.

Inked: Once again, Stu, played by Ed Helms is shocked to discover a horrific body modification

Panicked: Running to the bathroom mirror he discovers the tribal design and turns to Galifianakis and screams: 'Alan what did you do? Did you Roofie me?'

Some Fans may be disappointed to know that it is not Jade the stripper from Las Vegas (played by Heather Graham)

Instead Sucker Punch's Jamie Chung has replaced Graham as Stu's love interest.

The trailer opens with a scene of a rehearsal dinner in Thailand.

Alan stands up to do a speech referring to the boy's antics in the first film.

New friend: A cheeky monkey has replaced the baby in the first film as the sidekick

'None of you know Stu like I do. I can't even tell you what we've been through because we made a pact. What I can tell you is this is not Stu's first marriage, there was a w**** in Las Vegas a couple of years ago.'

After deciding to hit the town for a night out, Stu's new fiancée asks the boys to take her little brother Teddy along, which proves to be a big mistake.

Then with the camera panning across what appears to be the aftermath of a wild night in an empty Bangkok hotel room, the antics begin.

Toast: Galifianakis gives an hilarious speech about Stu at the beginning of the trailer

Before the antics: just like the last film the boys are seen toasting to the groom before things go pear-shaped

Stu wakes up in an empty bathtub, Phil rises in a clammy sweat and Alan drops from the a bunk bed with a shaved head.

And once again, Stu is shocked to discover a horrific body modification.
But this time it's not a missing tooth, instead he has been tattooed on the side of his face.

He's back! Near naked Mr Chow, played by Ken Jeong returns for the sequel

'Your going to freak out but it will be ok,' Phil says to Stu. 'Is it my teeth?' replies Stu.

Running to the bathroom mirror he discovers the tribal design and turns to Alan and screams: 'Alan what did you do? Did you Roofie me?'

And just like the first film, a member of the clan has gone missing.

Road wars: The clan get into a high speed car chase on the wild street of Bangkok

Panic: As always Helms' character Stu goes into melt down

But this time it's not the groom, it is Stu's brother-in-law-to-be, Teddy.

The trailer then plunges into a montage of the boys in search for the teenager in the wild streets of Bangkok.

It cuts to the film's main stars who are walking down the street in slow motion with a monkey in tow.

Road trip: The movie sees the boys travel with some monks

During the malarkey the boys visit a monastery where Alan gets knocked out by a monk, a girly bar where gun fire breaks out and yet another car chase where the boys trash a sport-car.

A cheeky monkey has replaced the baby in the first film as the sidekick, and the boys once again come face to face with a near-naked Mr Chow, played by Ken Jeong who instead of chasing the boys around town join them in their search to find Teddy

Justin Bartha, who played the groom in the original hit film, stars in the second instalment, but plays a minor role.

Former president Bill Clinton shot a brief cameo in the comedy earlier this year
Liam Neeson also plays a tattoo artist

What a blast: They also run into some gunfire in a girly bar forcing Galifianakis to use a firearm

That's a wrap! Vanessa Hudgens celebrates Sucker Punch premiere but remains tight lipped about relationship with co-star Josh

By SARAH FITZMAURICE

Keeping things under wraps: Vanessa Hudgens left the Sucker Punch after party with her hair covered up but that wasn't the only thing the actress was keeping under wraps as she refused to talk about her relationship with co-star Josh Hutcherson

As she left Cafe de Paris, the Sucker Punch premiere after-party venue, Vanessa Hudgens covered her hair with a pearl-coloured pashmina – and that isn’t the only thing she is keeping under wraps.

Vanessa is remaining tight-lipped about her relationship with her Journey 2 co-star Josh Hutcherson, who she has been spending increasing amounts of time with in recent months.

In fact as the actress took to the red carpet last night she refused to give anything away about her feelings for the 18-year-old actor-but she did let out a telling giggle.

Lady in white: Vanessa had attended the London premiere of Sucker Punch in a pearl floor-length Alberta Ferretti gown before heading to Cafe de Paris for the after-party

Dressed in a flowing backless pearl floor-length gown by Alberta Ferretti, the actress had her hair in an elegant up style showing off her butterfly tattoo on her neck.

And while the actress was happy to talk about her upcoming projects she remained tight-lipped about Josh and simply laughed back in reply.

The actress may not have wanted to speak about her male co-stars but she did speak about working with Kristen Davies and said revealed that she would consider a role in a possible Sex and The City prequel film.

Getting close: Vanessa and Josh Hutcherson looked cosy at a basketball game recently

Vanessa told MailOnline: 'Kristen is awesome although we only have one scene together in the film.’

She added that she would be keen to work on a SATC prequel: Yes totally I love the Sex And The City films they are so fun.’

The actress who plays Blondie in the film explained the girls underwent a vigorous training regime over three months working out for five hours a day in order to be able to shoot the Sucker Punch action scenes.

She said: 'Working with the navy seals they don't go easy on you. I had to push myself mentally and physically.'

Party girls: Jena Malone, Emily Browning, Vanessa and Abbie Cornish braved the chilly London cold to enjoy a dinner at Bam Bou before heading to Cafe de Paris

Vanessa joined her co-stars on the red carpet at Leicester Square’s Vue cinema to premiere the Zack Snyder film in the U.K. which opens in cinemas across the country tomorrow.

The film crew then enjoyed dinner at Bam Bou restaurant before heading to Cafe de Paris to finish off the evening's celebration.

Earlier in the evening it wasn't just Vanessa who was eager to talk about upcoming projects 300 director Zack Snyder was quick to gush about Amy Adams who has been named to take on the role of Lois Lane playing alongside British actor Henry Cavill in his latest project Superman: Man of Steel.

Girl Power: Sucker Punch stars (L-R) Jamie Chung, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Carla Cugino, Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgens pose together on the red carpet

The Sucker Punch director told MailOnline: ‘We are really excited about Amy and I am excited about the message is sends. It took a little while to cast her and we had to fly Henry over to see how they looked together but it’s great.’

Also dazzling on the red carpet Abbie Cornish, 28, was dressed in Alberta Ferretti in a coffee-coloured long dress with lace overlay and dazzled in £175,000 worth of Cartier jewels.

The Australian actress has been working with her Sucker Punch co-star Oscar Issac on Madonna’s latest project W.E.

Oscar, 31, spoke to MailOnline about working with Madonna and said: 'Was she a diva? No I hoped so but she is actually self-deprecating and really very funny she is actually very open.’

Sucker Punch star Vanessa Hudgens is slinky and see-through at film's premiere, while her co-stars break into dance

By ANDREA MAGRATH

We like to boogie: The stars of Sucker Punch broke into an impromptu dance on the red carpet at the London premiere of their film tonight

Their film has had an underwhelming reception from critics, so what are girls to do? Dance.

The stars of Sucker Punch shrugged off their bad reviews to have some fun on the red carpet at the London premiere tonight in Leicester Square.

Slinky: Vanessa Hudgens was glamorous in a white backless gown by Alberta Ferretti

While Vanessa Hudgens and Abbie Cornish looked on nervously in their glamorous gowns, their carefree co-stars Emily Browning, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone burst into an impromptu boogie.

The colourful group dazzled as they posed together on the red carpet, and didn't let the damp evening wet their spirits as they giggled like schoolgirls together.

High School Musical star Vanessa, 22, went for all-out glamour in a floor-length white gown by Alberta Ferretti.

Vanessa wore her hair up to show off the backless dress to its full advantage, and displayed her new butterfly neck tattoo.

Abbie Cornish, 28, also chose Alberta Ferretti in a coffee-coloured long dress with lace overlay and dazzled in £175,000 worth of Cartier jewels.

Girls just wanna have fun: Actresses Jamie Chung, Jena Malone and Emily Browning got in on the fun, while their co-stars looked on

Jamie Chung stood out in a flirty hot pink Dolce & Gabbana dress and black peep-toe heels.

The film's star, Australian actress Emily Browning, wore a 1920s style Azzaro dress, while entourage star Carla Cugino wore a bright blue Oscar de la Renta frock.

Jena Malone, best known for her roles in Stepmom and Donnie Darko, wore an interesting printed dress with slashes at the neck and hip by Juan Carlos Obando.

The film has been widely panned by critics, with Time Out calling the Zack Snyder-directed fantasy thriller 'confusing and self-defeating.'

Girl Power: Sucker Punch stars (L-R) Jamie Chung, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Carla Cugino, Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgens pose together on the red carpet

Nevertheless the film's stars say they had a ball filming it, despite being forced to undergo rigorous workouts involving military and martial arts training and strict diets, in order to complete the action sequences in their tiny corsets and leotards.

But Emily Browning, who became a household name in Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events says the girls unwound together with a weekly 'cheat night' from their diets and fitness regime.

'Wednesday nights we would all go out and eat cakes together, or just have a cheat night and get together,' she said on the red carpet tonight. 'But we were hanging out all the time and we would have sing-a-longs. It was lots of fun.'

Girlfriends: Jamie Chung does some solo moves before cuddling up to Jena Malone

Abbie Cornish appeared on U.S. TV show, Jimmy Kimmel Live last week to promote the film and described how she was shooting an action scene when a fellow star came at her with a WW1 rifle with a steel bayonet on the end.

'I ducked it but the timing was off and this steel bayonet comes at my head it hits me on the side of the head,' she said.

Stylish: Abbie Cornish also chose Alberta Ferretti, while Jamie Chung looked gorgeous in a hot pink Dolce & Gabbana frock

Sucker Punch opens in UK cinemas on April 1.

She's a wonder! Fans get their first glimpse of Adrianne Palicki in action as Wonder Woman as filming gets underway in LA

By Daily Mail Reporter

On the run: Adrianne Palicki was seen filming action sequences on the set of the Wonder Woman remake

Ever since Adrianne Palicki landed the role of Wonder Woman in the remake of the classic TV series, fans of the show have been eager to see the actress in action.

Now they finally have the chance to catch a glimpse of Adrianne taking on the role, after the first pictures were released from the set of the show in Los Angeles.

The snaps show Adrianne - in her sexy new Wonder Woman costume -running down the street during the filming of an action sequence.

And the 27-year-old also shows off her stunt skills at one point by running over the roof of a car.

The original version of Wonder Woman was one of the biggest small screen hits of the 1970s and made a star of Lynda Carter, who played the superheroine.

The character was known for having a wealth of superpowers, including superhuman strength, superhuman speed and extra-strong senses.

Action woman: Adrianne, a relative unknown, beat several other actresses to win the coveted role

New look: Adrianne's costume swaps the pants worn by Lynda Carter in the 1970s for a pair of skin-tight PVC trousers

The new incarnation will also feature actress Elizabeth Hurley, who will play Wonder Woman's nemesis Veronica Cale.

Hurley recently revealed she was part of the show by posting on Twitter when she first got the role: 'Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman'.

She added that she will be playing the lead character's nemesis saying: 'I'll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait'.

Show makeover: Wonder Woman - aka Diana Prince is not only a crimefighting vigilante but also a successful corporate executive

Carefully does it: Adrianne - looking every inch the superheroine - showed off a few skills of her own while filming took plce

It was announced in February that relative unknown Adrianne Palicki had beaten a number of other actresses to the role of Wonder Woman.

Palicki is better known in America for her role in the drama series Friday Night Lights, but has yet to make a household name for herself.

Shortly after she was revealed to have the lead a photo of her appeared in the character's revamped costume, which ditched the 'big pants' worn by Lynda Carter in the 70s in favour of skin-tight PVC trousers.

However the costume attracted some controversy for not featuring the patriotic American stars and stripes which featured on Carter's outfit.

Rival TV network Fox said; 'The new and allegedly improved Wonder Woman (a.k.a Diana Prince) has been given a head-to-toe makeover by artist Jim Lee, replacing her signature American flag decorated briefs with skintight…pants and purging the super hero of all her trappings of Americana.

A spokesperson for the character's creator DC Comics defended the new look, saying 'The latest evolution of Wonder Woman’s iconic costume is a central part of the latest comic book storyline.

The new show is written by writer and producer David E. Kelley, who brought Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope and Boston Legal to our screens.

The plot is described as 'a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman - aka Diana Prince - is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

No broadcast date for the show has yet been given.

Many Hollywood actresses had been vying for the coveted role of Woman Woman, among them Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks.

Miss Marple to get a glamorous makeover as 38-year-old Jennifer Garner is cast as the spinster sleuth for new film

By Andrea Magrath

Odd casting choice: Jennifer Garner is set to play amateur detective Miss Marple in a Disney reboot

When thinking about casting the part of an elderly spinster from a small English village who solves crimes in her spare time, Jennifer Garner is not the first name that one would expect to come to mind.

But the glamorous 38-year-old Hollywood actress has just been announced to star in a Disney reboot about the much-loved heroine of Agatha Christie's novels.

The actress, best known for her roles as the catsuited superhero Elektra and in a slew of fluffy romantic comedies.

Jane Marple, the amateur sleuth from St. Mary Mead, is depicted as an elderly spinster, most famously by Margaret Rutherford in the 1960s film versions of Agatha Christie's 12 crime novels.

Angela Lansbury also played the iconic character in the 1980 film The Mirror Crack'd, while Joan Hickson took on the role for the BBC television movies.

Novelist Christie based the character on her own grandmother, recordings of the author discovered in 2008 revealed.

Another type of crime fighter: Jennifer Garner in her skimpy costume for 2005 action film Elektra

Miss Marple first appeared in print in 1927 in a story published in The Royal Magazine. The first novel based on the crime solver the Murder At The Vicarage in 1930, followed by 11 more novels.

Disney has hired Twin Peaks writer Mark Frost to transform the classic story for an American contemporary adaptation.

Icon: The character was most famously played by Margaret Rutherford in the 1960s films

Garner, who shot to fame in 2001 in TV series Alias, recently starred in another remake, Arthur, with Russell Brand and Helen Mirren.

She will be seen in comedy Butter alongside Hugh Jackman, House actress Olivia Wilde and Twilight star Ashley Greene next year, and is currently filming fantasy The Odd Life Of Timothy Green with Dianne West and Joel Edgerton.

Oscar winner Natalie Portman goes from ballet swan to medieval archer in action comedy Your Highness

By Daily Mail Reporter

What a change: Natalie Portman and Danny McBride appear together in Your Highness, a change from her Oscar-winning performance in Black Swan

Her haunting portrayal of a mentally fragile ballet dancer in Black Swan won her the coveted best actress Oscar last month.

But Natalie Portman is not one to be typecast, and her new film sees her tackling an action comedy as a fearless female archer.

In Your Highness the actress stars alongside James Franco, who also won an Oscar nod for his dramatic role in 127 Hours.

Taking aim: Portman plays the archer in Your Highness

But the pair are perhaps unlikely to repeat their Oscar success with their new movie, which sees them embark on a quest to rescue a kidnapped royal bride, played by Zooey Deschanel.

Your Highness is a comedic action/adventure set in medieval times, and also stars Danny McBride and Justin Theroux.

With the same director of Pineapple Express, the movie is unlikely to win any more Oscar nominations, although it is sure to have a broad appeal.

Not one for an Oscar: Portman stars alongside James Franco, Danny McBride, Justin Theroux and Zooey Deschanel

Game for a laugh: Zooey Deschanel plays the royal bride, who is kidnapped by an evil wizard, sparking a quest

The trailer for the movie shows Portman in a plunging low-cut version of a medieval costume, while Deschanel is in an equally revealing red corset dress.

The movie has yet to hit screens but has already caused a stir after Portman's pert derrière was covered up by bosses with a digital bikini.

An original trailer showed the actress wearing a thong bikini beside a lake, but to lower the age rating her behind was digitally covered in a sensible pair of brown bikini bottoms.
