Rod Stewart shows his support for daughter Kimberly as she steps out for the first time since surprise pregnancy announcement

By Daily Mail Reporter

Baby on the way: Kimberly Stewart revealed her bump for the first time as she left Il Sole restaurant in Hollywood with her father Rod last night

Kimberly Stewart's family rallied around her last night as she stepped out for the first time since it was revealed that she is pregnant with actor Benicio del Toro's baby.

Her father, rocker Rod Stewart, joined the socialite, 33, for dinner at Il Sole restaurant in West Hollywood last night along with her brother Sean, 30.

The blonde's baby burgeoning bump was visible despite her apparent attempt to disguise it under a flowing print dress.

Supportive: The rocker treated his pregnant daughter to a family night out

Rod, 66, who was dressed in a striped suit, looked in good spirits as he emerged from the Italian eatery, which is a favourite among the celebrity set.

While the 66-year-old had forbidden any comment or congratulatory statement on topic of his daughter's pregnancy by his PR, Arnold Stiefel, the family outing made it clear she has his support.

The father of Kimberly's baby, Oscar-winner del Toro, was spotted in Los Angeles looking rather unkempt with a bushy goatee and wild hair last week.

The pair, who are not together, announced the pregnancy news in a carefully worded statement from his publicist.

Not a couple: Kimberly and Benico Del Toro, pictured right in LA on Thursday, are expecting a child together

'Kimberly is pregnant. Benicio is the father and is very supportive,' the actor's spokesperson, Robin Baum, told America's Life & Style magazine.

'Although they are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby.'

Kimberly and del Toro, 44, are understood to have had a ‘no-strings fling' after meeting at the Chateau Marmont hotel earlier this year.

The Traffic star has a reputation as a lady killer - he is rumoured to have made love to actress Scarlett Johansson in a lift at the same hotel after an awards ceremony.
He has also made no secret of his desire to remain a bachelor.

Asked last year why he’s never married, he said: ‘Why do I have to get married? So I can get divorced?’

Kimberly, on the other hand, has announced plans to marry on numerous occasions.

She has been engaged to musician Cisco Adler and former reality TV star Talan Torriero.

Over the years, she has been linked to other high profile men including Scott Caan, Jack Osbourne, Russell Brand, Jude Law and Rhys Ifans.

Kimberly is Rod's daughter from his marriage to Alana Hamilton.

The rocker is now a father of eight - his wife Penny Lancaster gave birth to a baby boy, Aiden, in February.

It will be his first grandchild.

Meet Aiden, Rod Stewart's eighth baby and, he says, his last

Happy Family: Rod Stewart with Penny Lancaster and their second - his eighth - baby

It looks like a photo of a family spanning three generations. Of course, in fact it shows only two.

Rod Stewart poses with wife Penny Lancaster and son Aiden after becoming a father for the eighth time, aged 66.

The couple, who have another son, five-year-old Alistair, spent two years trying to conceive and Miss Lancaster, 39, underwent three rounds of IVF.

This week's Hello! magazine

They said they were so nervous that they kept news of the pregnancy secret for as long as possible.

Stewart said: 'Aiden truly is a miracle. In the beginning we took it for granted that our second child would be as easy to conceive as Alistair was, but the long journey was more than worth it.'

The singer said that Aide, born on February 16, looks like him.

And he told this week's Hello! magazine: 'My way of settling him when he's crying from colic is to carry him around, singing to him.'

Stewart has previously said Aiden will be his last child, adding: 'I can't have any more kids, otherwise I'll be touring until I'm 90.'

But he admitted he would to 'pretty much anything' to keep Miss Lancaster happy - so the final decision could be down to her.
