Messi Kicks The Ball To Real Madrid Supporters

Pepe told Messi to use his head, when Messi deliberately kick the ball to the fans at Bernabeu, (probably for being too noisy)after he failed on catching the ball. The fans got angry and throw him with things, and Messi acted innocent afterwards......

Watch the video here

Green Lasers For Messi

The supporters at Bernabeu tried everything just to distract Messi on making his penalty kick. Barcelonistas also made the same thing when Cristiano Ronaldo was on his action for a free kick at Camp Nou.
Although I'm curious, did it affect them in any way ?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi Join Forces In Japan Charity Match

FIFPro is planning a charity match that will include the World All-football star vs Japan this year. The date hasn't been decided yet, but probably on May or December.

Various football association globally have been contacted, including FIFA. The good thing is that they replied with a positive feedback, which means they have agreed to support the event.

OK, if we talk about a World class footballer, then Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine comes to our mind. And now we should be excited to know that the three players were up to join the World All Star selection. So to see Ronaldo with Messi on the same team, dribbling the ball one to another, is a possible thing.....

Right now, FIFPro is preparing for the match schedule, and coordinating with the Japan's player association. As for Zidane, who has experience in charity matches, he already agreed to participate.
And don't be surprise to hear David Beckham and Ronaldinho as player that also expected to be on the event.

Lionel Messi in Milan (20 March 2011)

Lionel Messi lookin' cool and stylish, as he walked down at Milan, Italy last Sunday (20 March '11). Don't know about you guys, but I love his new hair style. If only he was a few more inches tall, then he'll be perfect.

Lionel Messi Could Be Sidelined For Getafe Match

After a hard crash on his knee with Sevilla's goal keeper last Sunday, Lionel Messi is now reportedly suffering with a knee injury, and struggling to recover quickly for the next match against Getafe next Saturday.

And now it depends on his condition progress throughout the week, but if he doesn't recover in time, he will be sidelined for the match. It's a good news for Real Madrid fans......

Lionel Messi Failed to Bring Victory on Barcelona Draw 1-1 Over Sevilla (13 March 2011)

It just wasn't his night, when he failed to give a victory for his team Barcelona. After his freekick goal was disallowed by the ref, (which is a disappointment, but a good news for Real Madrid) Messi also failed another couple of goal attempts. And when the whistle for second half blews, he got down after colliding with Sevilla's goal keeper.

It looks bad at the beginning, and it almost seems that his knee got injured, but apparently he was okay, and able to play on the second half.

Here's the vid of Messi goal from freekick, but later got disallowed by the ref because Busquets did a foul previously, like pushing in the wall before the freekick.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi's Favourite Food

Despite their hate or rivalry on and off the pitch, these two rival have at least 2 things in common : a love for their mom, and their cooking.

Cristiano once said that nobody can cook as well as his mother, and his favourite meals is Dolly's grilled cod, a dish that he can't resist.

Macaroni and Portuguese stew are also his favorites. However, he tries to keep his figure fit by not overdo it with foods.

And for Lio Messi, this mama's boy love a special meals served by his mom Celia, a chicken fried steak with Neapolitan fries. If you like to try the dish, it's very simple.
Fry the breaded cutlets, while preparing the tomato sauce. Then put the chicken in the oven with the sauce, mozzarella cheese and ham. Finally, add oregano and pepper for the taste. Served it with potatoes or rice.

Messi is also a fan of chocolate and strawberry ice cream and croissants. (wish I can see him eating ice-cream in a cone)

With these kind of food, they grew as the 2 most famous football star.

Lionel Messi's Curse in Champions League (Arsenal 2-1 Barcelona,16 February 2011)

If Leo Messi thinks that it was easy for Cristiano Ronaldo to be the number one player in British with ManU, well... he should think again. Messi may be the best player in the world right now, but on the land of England, he just couldn't  score. This fact has adding his no goal record in England for 7 straight matches.

It's pretty strange, since in Spain, Messi can score easily. Remember on last season Champions League, when Messi scored 4 goals in 2nd leg over Arsenal in Camp Nou, but contributed zero goals when played at Emirates Stadium ? Call it a curse or maybe a coincidence, but it did happens to him, repeatedly.

And back to the match itself, Arsenal have won 2-1 against Barcelona. David Villa  was the first to score, with the assist from Messi. Arsenal made it even with a goal from Persie on 78th minute, and 5 minutes later, another goal for The Gunner from Arshavin.

But despite their victory, Arsene Wenger said that Messi is still a big threat, when Arsenal visit's Camp Nou on March 8th.
"Who doesn't get worried by Messi ?"Wenger wrote on Arsenal's website.
"It would be a tough task to take him , but we get more enthusiasm with this victory,"he added.

Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi - On The Pitch

Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi shows the greatest rivalry in football world, especially in Spanish League. When we talk about Barcelona and Real Madrid, then it's definitely about them. Although they're both equally fantastic, they play differently. Here are the big difference between them on the pitch :

First, About 80% from Barcelona's bait during the match involves Messi, and only 60% involves Ronaldo in Real Madrid.
Conclusion : Messi's role is more vital and more collective then Ronaldo.

Secondly, Messi could run faster than Ronaldo in short distance range, but for a long distance, Ronaldo is better than Messi. For short range, Messi could speed up to 20km/hour, and 18 km/h for Ronaldo. And for long distance, Ronaldo speed is 30km/h, while Messi only 28km/h.
Conclusion : Messi is better in short passing, and play near the penalty area, while Ronaldo more comfortable with long pass, from back to the front area.

Third, During the dribbling, Messi touched the ball more often, and stick the ball closely to his feet. While Ronaldo often let the ball dribbles freely infront of his feet.
Conclusion : Messi's action could open more room for his team mates, and for Ronaldo, he likes to give time to think about the posibilities for shooting or baiting the ball for his team mates, while dribbling the ball.

Fourth, Ronaldo has more power in kicking balls, especially on freekicks or penalty. The ball could speed up to 119km/h with his kick, while Messi could only kick the ball with 95km/h of speed.
Conclusion : Ronaldo kicks are as fast as a rocket, so he often choose the open shot, while Messi choose to place the ball in a difficult position to reach, before shooting.

But despite their greatest role in their club, their contribution in national team is far from what they expected. And on tomorrow friendly match, we will see whether it changes or remain the same.

Lionel Messi Got Booked and Fined For Lifting "Happy Birthday Mom" Shirt

Okay, Messi is not my favorite player, but even I find it ridiculous to fined and at the same time booked him with a yellow for just showing a harmless message to his mom. It's not like the words is insulting anybody, it's a bit to much, but that's nothing wrong with it.

But I'm guessing the fine will be cancelled, since there were few of other players that got fine for doing the same thing, and got their fine canceled.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also lifting his jersey last season when he showed a message for his hometown Madeira that faced a terrible floods and killed a number of people. But it's for a good cause, that's why probably he didn't get fine, if I'm not mistaken.

Lionel Messi Celebrates Mommy's Birthday With A Goal

If there's one thing in common between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, it should be their passion to show the love to their mother.

Last night, right after Messi scored on a match against Racing Santander, he celebrated it by pulling out his jersey, and showed a shirt with a handwriting says "Happy Birthday Mommy". Awwwww.....

But it could be either adorably cute, or well,... just too much.

On the same match, he also showed off his not-so-sexy thigh when he was checking on his injury.

Messi's Balon d'or Winner Title is Questionable

Although Messi has been crowned as the Balon d'Or winner for 2010, many captain of the club and the national team were questioning about the title he received on the second time.

Iker Cassilas said that the title didn't suit him, and was inappropriate to be given by him for the second time. He even claimed that if the title was meant for the best footballer in the world, it should be given to Cristiano Ronaldo, his team mate at Real Madrid.

"However, if the title was for the best player in one season, it should be for Wesley Sneijder,"explained Casillas.

Not only Casillas, Messi's former mate Ibrahimovich, as the Swedish captain and Eto'o, the captain of Camerun didn't consider Messi deserves the title this year. Of course, Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo didn't chose Messi either. Most of them prefered Xavi Hernandez , Iniesta, or Sneijder, based on their record on the club and the WC national team. While Messi is far from his best performance during WC 2010.

Captain of Manchester United Rio Ferdinand had the same opinion with the rest of them. So, who actually chose Messi to be the winner ?? Many of captain of the small country is apparently to be the most voters for the Barcelona striker, as well as the journalist. It's not a secret that Messi is the most favorite player among the journalist, and even he is already favorable to be the 2011 balon d'Or winner.

Lionel Messi Failed A Penalty

Balon d'Or winner Lionel Messi failed to execute a penalty against Real Betis yesterday, when Barcelona lost 1-3 in second leg Copa del Rey match. It supposed to be his second goal on the match, after he made the first in 38 minute.

This result is totally a humilliation since on the first leg they won with 5-0. However, Barcelona still enter the semifinal.

Lionel Messi and Girlfriend Antonella Break Up News

Is it officially over between them ?? Shocking statement came from Lionel Messi's grandfather, Antonio Cuccitini, when he was interviewed by local Radio, Radio 2.

According to Cuccitini, Messi is now single after the couple decided to end their relationship.

"Lionel doesn’t have a girlfriend at the moment! He had one but they broke up…It’s better that way, he’s still very young, I always tell him to enjoy himself, in a healthy way of course."

This news definitely a shocker since on late December, we heard rumors about Messi's plan to wed his girlfriend Rocuzzo at the end of year 2010. The problem is, we can't expect Messi to confirm about the break up news, since he always keep his mouth close when it comes to his personal life.

But let's not jump into conclusion yet, since there might be a chance the couple still together.

Cristiano Ronaldo Still Surpasses Messi On Income

Cristiano Ronaldo may lost to Messi for Balon d'Or, but the Barcelona striker still can't beat him when it comes to earnings. Although France Football magazine puts Messi as number one on it's annual rich list of football players, but in reality Cristiano Ronaldo and David still outnumbered him in off the field income.

David Beckham is first with $44 million, Ronaldo with $36 million, and Messi $27 million.

Messi is the world best player , for now, yet he couldn't match Ronaldo and Beckham glamorous and charismatic personality. Besides, Messi has a very limited English, unlike Ronaldo. Other factor, when Ronaldo and Beckham use entertainment firm creative artist Agency for the deals, Messi's career is being managed by his own father. See the difference ?

Messi's signed sponsorship with Adidas, Konami, PepsiCo, Chery and KFC. Gillette dropped Messi from their icon last month.

Messi should look up to other top rank players that has a bit reserved personality, such as Rafael Nadal. He spoke mostly Spanish and not pretty good in dealing with sponsorship other than Nike and few regional agreements. But currently, Nadal become more international by raising his profile, which led the endorsements crawling on his doorstep. Recently, Nadal even become Ronaldo replacement as Armani model.
