Timeless

Timeless shoes are a brand I had never heard of up until a few weeks ago when Mum and I treated ourselves to a pair of their sandals.
We both went for the Hathaway style (me in black, her in cream) and have agreed they are the comfiest sandals we own

I seem to be on a shoe binge right now, I'm for once lusting over footwear more than I am dresses, nail polish or even TIGHTS!

Here are a few more Timeless styles I have my beady eye on.

Heather Sandals, £47. Hathway have become my work shoe of choice, so I pretty much need these for my "play" shoes, right?

Bubble in Black, £22. Not my usual style but there is something quite endearing about these.

Bailey, £20. So what if I own several pairs of sandals in this style already? Mine are all brown/tan, black/silver would balance it out nicely.

Honey, £29. I wish I could explain why I covet these so much. They just seem so...comfortable and pretty damn awesome!

Are you a flip flop snob?

I could actually date the origins of this post back to last Summer, where I was once again bemoaning the demise of my £1 Primark flip flops after only a couple of days.
Previously I had never thought of flip flops as something worth investing in...I mean surely foam and plastic were one and the same no matter what the price?

I got mixed responses, some people, like me simply replaced the cheap pair with another cheap pair (I easily spent £20 doing this, and the rest!)
The others swore by Havianas, lasting them all Summer and beyond making them worth the price tag.

Enthused by this news I ordered two (pink and black, because I couldn't decide) of Havianas, although I am yet to wear them because face it...it's hardly flip flop weather outside right now...and by this point it was the end of last Summer and time to move on to more covered shoes.
I'm looking forward to breaking in these pillows of heaven (if hype is to be believed) and apparently saving myself time and money in not constantly having to replace...
but is this true?
Have I been suckered in, or are these really superior footwear? I don't give harsh wear to my flip flops...a quick trip to the shops, or pottering around the house and garden is about my limit, so I'll admit my hopes are high.
What is your experience?

Here are some styles catching my eye right now!

My classic black pair, still sat pristine inside the box waiting for warmer days (blue feet are SO last season)

I really like the FIT style, they look like a comfier alternative to gladiator type sandals that kill my feet, and yet I still insist on wearing!

Silver...because everyone's feet need a bit of bling (except mine which fail to turn even the slightest bit golden in the Summer and therefore metallic make them look like corpse feet)

This is the other pair I have. I'm a girly girl who loves pink, and when I find the perfect slouchy jeans I plan to wear these with pride.

SO,
opinions wanted! Have I wasted my money,
will I be left sobbing on my way to Primark to hand over my last £1 for some emergency replacements
or am I right in thinking it's ok to become a bit of a flip flop snob?

I'd also like to know where you get your old faithfuls from.

Spring in My Step

Once again I have shoes on the brain...
With the recent beautiful weather has come a lusting for anything other than boots on my feet and right now I am really feeling wedges and chunky heels for style AND most importantly, comfort.
I'm tall, so I don't need heels as such (unlike my Mum who refuses to leave the house in flats) but I do like the extra height; I like to think it makes me intimidating ;)

Current lustings include (but aren't limited to)

Ravel Geraldine...go with everything colour, pretty detailing, screams summer...perfect.

Ash Lucy...I am forever drooooling over Ash shoes. This pair just further fuels the fire.

Oh look, another Ash pair! Jezebel this time and not the most summery of shoe...but goddam, they are beauties!

And in complete contrast, and somewhat out of my usual style...this embellished pair by Lollipop...should I love them as much as I do? Probably not...
but whatever. I'm a girl. I like pretty shoes as much as I like chocolate.

Rocking the Red Pump

After reading on Hazel's Blog about today, March 10th being "Rock the Red Pump" I knew I wanted to take part.

It's an 'initiative to raise awareness about the increasing impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls and encourages ladies to take action.'

March 10th is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and all you have to show your support is don your red shoes for the day.

I don't technically own any red pumps, and certainly not any that are suitable for my shift at work later, so I decided to split my day in two and wear red heels (in lieu of sensible shoes) this morning, then my usual boots (and smarter outfit) for work later.

There is something alluring about red shoes. I've always been drawn to them (ask my poor Mum about the tantrums over school shoes), but until I was sent this pair by Char I didn't own any as an adult.
I'd not yet found a reason to wear these beauties, being little miss no social life, so today seemed just perfect. For wearing pretty shoes, and for raising awareness!



The Basic Outfit...made up of pieces at least 3 years old!

High Top, Low Top or No Top?

Minds out of the gutters guys, I'm not thinking of going topless, I have SHOES on the brain,
more specifically, Converse.

Once upon a time I owned a pair of pink low tops. I don't think I gave them a fair chance as I wore them a couple of times, they rubbed and so they went...(where? I wish I could remember!)

Over the Summer, seeing my gorgeous friend Becca rock a multitude of pairs I developed a craving for a pair once more. Worn in, comfy, casual and a classic I'm considering treating myself.

This is where I need help. With the new light versions alongside the classic designs and a veritable rainbow of colours I want opinions!

All Star Core Ox in Marine I think I will forever have a soft spot for the low top design and a strange affection for this shade of blue (which considering I don't own much in blue, seems odd)

As Light Canvas Ox in Charcoal Grey One of my pet hates is heavy shoes. The lighter the better, considering I walk most places and my legs get tired easily. I love the grey colour and see these being really versatile, but a little flimsy? I don't know.

All Star Seasonal High in Lavender Hello girly goodness! I love how the pastel colour contrasts with the more substantial size of this shoe. I have a high instep though and seem to have problems with high top shoes. Anyone got any experiences?

All Star Slim Core Hi Aside from the fact I'd trash the bright white-ness in seconds, I am very much drawn to these, but yet my instep issue continues, and the impractical colourway.

I'd LOVE some feedback on your Converse experiences,

Float On Friday

Firstly, an apology for the amount of photos of myself in this post, I just love this dress (and shoes) far more than I should.
What makes it even better?! The dress was £9.99 in the Zara sale. A bargain for floaty, girly goodness! I forsee me living in this!











And a much deserved better photo of THE shoes! For those who asked, they are surprisingly easy to walk in (and comfortable, too) thanks to the platform.
