Looks of the day

Who: Shilpa Shetty
Where: IOSIS event for underprivileged kids

Shilpa wears one of the hottest trends of Spring, 2011 - colorblocking. The outfit colors are loud and pack a punch. Love the exposed zipper trend and the fluid draping of the skirt. The outfit is amazing, pity Shilpa got her accessories wrong..

Who: Madhoo
Where: Ritu Kumar's fashion show

Mixing prints can be tricky and most of the times comes across as trying too hard. But when done right, its fashion utopia! I love the Sabayasachi outfit that Madhoo is wearing. And with messy, bed hair, Madhoo gives it a very boho-chic vibe.

Who: Lara Dutta
Were: Ritu Kumar fashion event

Lara looks radiant in a tiered, strapless gown. Does her presence at the show mean she will be wearing Ritu Kumar for her wedding? I am sure Manish Malhotra is throwing a fit somewhere:-)

Who: Celina Jaitley, Gul Panang
Where: Cotton council meet, Ritu Kumar fashion event

Never knew Celina wore anything other than sarees! This is quite pretty. I hope its not once in a lifetime thing..

Another colorblocking dress, this time in geometric prints. Gul paired the dress with nude pumps and black clutch, giving the whole ensemble a very pulled together look.

Who: Bhagyashree
Where: Ritu Kumar fashion event

Not sure why Bhagyashree had to hide her lovely features under a shaggy dog haircut! But the dog is rather cute, so I really cant blame her for copying:p

Celebs at Aamby Valley Bridal week

Who: Sridevi

Sridevi wore a nude-colored bodycon dress to the event. She paired the dress with soft pink clutch and shoes. I really think she needs to quit wearing short dresses since they don't really work in her favor...

Who: Amrita Arora

Its really funny to catch celebs in same pose - they sure do practice in front of mirrors!!
None of her outfits work for me..

Who: Bhagyashree

Bhagyashree stuck to ethnic wear and wore sari and salvaar-suit to the bridal week. Love the blue color and the silver accessories. The sari could have worked with a better clutch and less bling-y necklace..

Urmila, Guest, Pria Kataria Puri

Urmila in a black/gold combination. The draping is terrible and the dress makes her shoulders look bulky.

I love how the guest wore black with brown and then added color with a red clutch.

Pria in her own design. The digital print is difficult to make out but is the actual image of jewellery that the late Maharani Gayatri Devi wore..

Daily catch

Who: Neha Dhupia
Where: P & G Shiksha event

The short anarkali looks good on Neha. Super chic and elegant ensemble!

Left: Sophie Choudry, Right: Guest

Sophie and guest wore black/white outfits and that's where the resemblance ends. Sophie went for the oomph in an animal print dress that hugs her curves and she teamed it with black clutch and peep-toes. The guest went for a feminine and simple look in a polka-dot halter neck dress. Both are good looks but I like the guest's outfit better becoz its so girly....Which one is your style?

Left: Mandira Bedi at blackberry Torch launch party
Right: Bhagyashree at Diwali exhibition

Both, Mandira and Bhagyashree, remind me of exotic tropical birds!! Wisely, they both kept their accessories to the minimum..
A little too colorful for me but what about you guys? Do you wear such bright color combinations? It is festive season so they do seem appropriate...

Casual Tuesday

Left: Sridevi, Right: Sonali Bendre
Where: Anupam Kher's art exhibition

Sridevi and Sonali rock their skinnies at Anupam's art exhibition!! Sridevi opted for a plaid shirt and heels whereas Sonali added some color with a necklace and went for comfortable flats..How cute is Sonali's skinny belt?

Left: Tabu, Right: Bhagyashree
Where: Anupam Kher's art exhibition

Tabu wore a shapeless maxi in a glorious shade of red - I bet a family of 10 can camp under that dress!!
Bhagyashree dress is too boring for words and way too frumpy to be worn outside the house..

Who: Kangana Ranaut
Where: At Dabangg screening

Arent you a wee bit too old to dress up like Suri Cruise? just saying...

India International Jewellery Week - Day Four and Red carpet

Who: Sagarika Ghatge
Where: On the ramp for Manubhai Zaveri, IIJW 2010

The jewelery - blech and tacky!! Are they trying to get people to buy the stuff or scare them away?? On the good side, the ornate cuffs are decent and the black looks better than beige as a background for the jewelery. What do you guys think?

A quick roundup of the red carpet appearances.

Who: Suzanne Roshan

Suzanne's dress with that bow and cascading ruffle has so much potential but the fit around her waist/bust doesn't seem right. It still works for me but I cant get over the pink and orange?? Eyesore - not working!!

Who: Nishka Lulla

If you are having a feeling of deja vu on seeing Ms Lulla in a red bandage dress, then you are not the only one. Mandira Bedi and Jennifer Winget wore the same dress, different colors and we had a fashion faceoff. See here

I did tweet to Nishka saying the bandage dress has been done to death but she was very keen since she has not worn a bandage before. Have to say, she fills it out beautifully:-) And I admire anyone who wears what they want, damn the public opinion!!

Who: Bhagyashree

This is for all my readers who liked her white outfit yesterday. I am not going to say anything today!! I am goin to keep quite about it looking like a furnishing fabric. Yup, mum's the word. Not a peep abt the "edgy but not going with the outfit" shoes either. Nope, I have taken the vow of silence...

Who: Shraddha Kapoor

You guys should know by know I have a predilection for abstract/quirky prints. I like:-) I like the mismatched shoes too!! Dont like the ugly flower bracelet..

Will you wear this?
Fierce or Fashion Faux Pas??
