Looks like color blocking is on everyone's mind! Sonam wore a bright and loud saree that beautifully demonstrates the use of contrasting colors to create a color block outfit that screams Spring ( and Holi)! Her hair and makeup is also perfect and I like the wrinkled effect in the fabric.

Another color-block outfit (Masaba??). The colors are on the cooler side in this outfit and the top is very boho-chic but something is off. Not sure if its the length of the top or the style of the pants.

Celebs at Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2011

Who: Kareena Kapoor

Having see Manish Malhotra's collection at the fashion week, I think Kareena could have chosen a more "visually, stunning" piece to wear. This one is nice but not really breathtaking. She does a have lovely back!

Who: Shamita Shetty

Love the fusion of east and west - the Banarsi border on a modern silhouette. The color is also very eye pleasing and I think I have started liking Shamita more than Shilpa on the red carpet. Both sisters still need to fix their accessorizing.

Who: Sonali Bendre

The color block dress with two pastel colors is just divine. A touch of embellishments on the neckline gives it a sophisticated touch. The black/white outfit is also nice but I didnt like the bling-y belt.

Who: Sophie Choudry

Sophie gets it right on both occasions sticking to simple, sexy dresses. I heart her black/gold shoes in the second pic. I Want!

Who:Jacqueline Fernadez, Narmaada Ahuja

Both, Jacqueline and Narmaada, wore outfits by Masaba at the presentation of her collection at Lakme Fashion week, 2011.
Which one did you like better? hmm, I will go with Narmaada's outfit becoz the addition of dupatta/scarf makes her outfit look more elegant.

Both dresses are lovely but Mansi spoils her outfit with really bad choice of shoes and bag.

Malaika did the mini + blazer combo pairing a gold BCBG(??) dress with a black blazer and nude Loubs. Two things (i) Having never looked beyond her always-on-display-legs, I didn't realize she is quite pretty (ii) not sure I like black with this shade of gold..Shoes, I will take anyday.

Urmila wore a cute, printed one-shoulder dress to the store opening. Love the dress and the shoes make the orange in the dress pop out. Orange clutch - an overkill..
Looks like her hair stylist had a day off.

Raveena - So many things messed up here. The waistband is too wide of her size, the dress too long and the shoes just plain wrong. BV clutch - always right.

Tisca - Love her Tod's Bauletto satchel and her perfectly polished look.

Gul - Too blinded by her red shoes to look at anything else..

Ooh la la, That is a great look on Mugdha! She is uber-fancy in a cream gown with sheer overlay skirt. The gold embellishment at the neck is a nice touch and I love the way the skirt flows. You like?

Jacqueline - Lets just admire her shoes and move on..I mean, seriously how high has she worn her shorts? The look - Baboon or Buffoon ?

Mandira - Cant think of one nice thing to say:P
Wait a sec, Isnt the hand the symbol of one on the major political party (Congress-I)?? If I were the leader of that party, I would be really worried..

Weekend Round - The beautiful, the baffling and the bewildering

Who: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Where: Teachers Achievement awards

Aishwarya in another hideous outfit by Manish Malhotra. The anarkali is not bad but it looks like she misplaced the orginal dupatta/scarf and grabbed something of her way out - looks very disjointed with the rest of the dress.

Have been reading a lot of glowing reviews of her performance in "Guzaarish". Should I brave the cold, rainy weather to watch this movie??

Kareena wore a bright green asymmetrical dress which she thankfully paired with subdued accessories - gold peep-toes and woven clutch. Love the color - perfect for the coming Xmas parties but didnt like the shape or style of the dress. Thumbs down to her hairstyle too..

How cute is her romantic, ruffled top? The thin, black edging looks so polished and I love the way she balanced her voluminous top with a tailored skirt for an outfit that is sweet and simply chic.

It really baffles me when celebs dont get their foundation color right!! Isn't that basic of makeup? sigh...
Kangana wore a black Dolce Gabbana floral dress which she completely ruined with the hair, makeup and shoes..

I love fashion risk takers but that doesnt preclude me from making fun of them when they fall flat:p Yup, I am mean!!
This dress is what would result if you crossed a bat with a peacock!! Shoo, fly away!!

I like the color combination of the gown but the cheap trinket at the waist really kills it for me. I like Jacqueline better in her casual avatar where she is in a simple dress and flats.

Sridevi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha

I like the color of Sridevi's dress and her wrap. The cut of the dress doesn't really flatter her and its little too wrinkly at the waist. Sridevi's knees aren't her best feature and she should wear outfits that hit her below/at the knees. The clutch is cute but her shoes are soo wrong!!

I think calling Jacqueline's dress OTT will be an understatement!!

Sonakshi looks cute in her sunny gown paired with red lips and spiral curls. Dont quite like the sash on the dress - always remind me of beauty pageants contestants!!

I love the high-collar blouse and the gold polka dots look great but then the sari becomes too busy. Not a big fan of braids done with such a formal outfit...

Dia is cute as a button in the pink lehenga at Vivek Obersoi's wedding. Love her outfit and hair although I would have preferred a burnished gold Bottega Veneta ..

New relationship, new wardrobe?? Deepika was pretty much living in her ripped jeans when she was dating Ranbir and had a casual style. Now she is rumored to be dating Siddharth Mallaya and she has totally glammed up her look!!

Deepila looks statuesque in a black gown with gold cutouts and a matching clutch. Cant wait to see what she wears next..

Jacqueline wore a deep purple strapless dress to the Smirnoff event. Rarely do we get to see this color!! I like the silk thread embroidery and the dress hits her at the right length. This could have been a winner but the cropped cardigan was a wrong decision and kills it for me.

Neha attended the Smirnoff nightlife event in a bright pink drop-waist dress. Her look is chic and simple but is sorta ho-hum...Maybe she should have spiced it up with some ankle length edgy "masculine" boots..

Malaika looks daring and demure in tailored grey shorts worn with an ivory colored shirt. By incorporating a slightly fancy fabric into her look, Malaika manages to make her outfit look chic and sophisticated rather than casual..I love her heart pendant but the shoes are a bad choice (bummer)..She really, really loves this golden wedges and has worn them previously, here and here.

I was expecting way more bollywood celebs at the FNO but we only had Bipasha, Jacqueline and Kangana at FNO, Delhi 2010..

I love, love the FNO t-shirt but not isnt that the hand sign for "Hang loose" which is often associated with Hawaii?? Not sure what its association with Indian fashion industry....But then again fashion has no boundaries...

Who: Bipasha Basu

I think Bipasha is more than enough to add oomph to FNO!! And all it took was FNO to get her to change her hairstyle..

Malaika and Jacqueline walked the ramp on day 2 for Mandira Wirk.

With va-va-voom legs like that, I really dont think anyone was looking at what Malaika was wearing:-) I bow to her hotness!!

I like the gentle shading on Jacqueline's gown but not the asymmetrical hemline..

Mandira was a showstopper in the true sense. She wore a gown in fire-engine red and looked like a glamorous Greek goddess. I love the ruffled hemline of her gown and the delicate draping of the top adds an element of sweetness to a slit up to there bottom.

Both, Malaika and Mughda, wore silver metallic minis to the show - I think both are wearing Mandira Wirk. I prefer the color of Malaika's dress. Other than that, both dresses have too much going on..

I have been watching too much Animal Planet since Gul's print reminds me of Moth wings and Mandira's dress reminds me of butterfly wings:-) Mandira face/hairstyle is frozen in time and Gul gaze is going to turn all the onlookers into stone...

I liked the whimsical water color print on the guest's dress but wish she had not worn such neon yellow shoes...
