Candy Stripes

Love the candy stripes of these shorts I am also on the look out for pink denim cut offs. I will lose the black tights and team them with slouchy boots when it gets warmer to totally channel Isabel Marant

Also you might have noticed that the Topshop boots in this post here that I took back because they were uncomfortable are now on my feet well I really regretted taking them back and search ebay and found a pair. Do you guys ever do that?? Oh and I just want to add that I wore them for a bout 6 hours the other and they were fine.

Fringe on Fringe

Last week I got a message from the gorgeous Melissa of Princess and the Pea saying that there was the most amazing fringed kimono that had just arrived on the Topshop website I could'nt believe my eyes when I saw it straight into my basket it went and I was checking out. A few hours later it had literally sold out. Anyway when it arrived it was even more beautiful than the picture on the website it is by far my most favourite item of clothing that I own ever.

I decided to team it with more fringing oh and feathers :) what the heck but this is going to be awesome in the summer thrown over everything.

Worth the wait

I am sooooo happy I have wanted these Topshop boots since December but I could not afford them in December because I had to spend my spare money on Christmas presents and then I over spent in January and then I thought I would get them this month and an unexpected bill turned up so I had to pass on them and tonight I went onto the Topshop website to see what was new in and new lines had been added to their sale and they had gone in, straight into the basket they went and now they belong to me :)))

I have been lusting after the JC Litas like most bloggers but I cant be bothered with customs and high shipping charges so that is why these Topshop ones appealled to me as I feel they have a touch of Litas about them what do you think????

So funny I was called snakey because my mum kept snakes years ago dont ask me what ones as I did not really like them but I remember one day running upstairs when I came home from school and found my mum fighting with one of the bigger ones that had escaped after that my mum was given the name Amazon Women. Anyways after seeing Topshops Snake Valley collection I decided to dig out my snake print leggings I got these a while back from H&M but if you want something similar Topshop have got some ones in check them out here and here

I could not wait to wear my new purchase I love the big puffy sleeves it is going to be a fab piece for the summer teamed with cut offs. Talking of summer I am enjoying seeing the new collections hitting the stores at the moment so nice to see fresh stock we have had a few nice pieces in and I can see that their is going to be a lot of colour around for S/S11. I am also excited as my camera finally arrived and I spent yesterday getting used it and reading the very boring but necessary manual.

New Starts

The start of a new year for me means thinking about my Spring Summer wardrobe we have had a few amazing pieces come into work and I have already seen two bits I want for uniform a gorgeous print silk dress and a maxi knitted skirt. I am totally inspired by the Snake Valley collection from Topshop and this is my inspiration for S/S11 I have always been a bit of a boho girl at heart and the summer means I can really work this look. How amazing are the colours and textures well done Toppers you have done it again I know where my wages are going to go the first half of this year. Check it out for yourselves here

My Turn

It has been super busy at work people have been shopping like crazy in the Christmas sales but yesterday the town was a little quieter and I actually managed to get a full lunch break so it was my time to have a shop I brought this stunning kimono from Topshop check it out here, the gorge tassel bag from Label Lab ohh and the necklace which was not in the sale from Dorothy Perkins they have awesome pieces of jewellery defo worth checking it out here.
I decided to buy bits that I can use in the summer too I am also into feathers at the moment I think they will give a cute boho twist to summer outfits. I am buying every kimono I can find I think they will look fab teamed with cut offs in the summer and I am relying on Toppers for some great ones.

Christmas time is a time to be girly dont you think. I brought this dress so long ago I cant even remember when but I do know that I have never worn it. I knew I wanted to wear my kimono and I also knew that I did not really want to wear pleather trousers at Christmas then I remembered this dress I had to dig it out of the bottom of the cupboard and iron it I think they were made for each other.

I am back to work today the last couple of days have been so wonderful I hate the come down of Christmas oh well at least there are plenty more to look forward too :)))

Searching High & Low

I am on the hunt for kimonos but they are like gold dust. Their have been some beautiful ones on ebay but I have had no luck winning them. I found this in Topshop check it out for yourselves here last week and it is the nearest thing to a kimono I have seen on the High Street so I snapped it up. I have a feeling kimonos are going to be a hot item for S/S11.

I asked you guys to ask me a question here I am going to answer Purdey from Kittenish Behaviour and Jade from OMG Jade's Blog's question they wanted to know how I style my outfits the night before or quickly in the morning?

I tend to have a little think before I go to bed about what I am going to wear as I only have a small amount of time in the morning to get dressed. It is easy for work as I have a very beautiful Nicole Farhi working wardrobe so I just add accessories. For special nights out and special occasions I plan well ahead for instance my outfit for my sisters wedding was planned about about 9 months in advance.

Purdey also asked me what my dream job is?

I have a few dream jobs I would love to be a stylist, a visual merchandiser or my biggest dream to own my own vintage boutique.

Inspired

There is not much inspiration in the town where I live. I spent quite a bit of time in my local Topshop last week and I was very inspired by one of their mannequins she wearing a fringed leather jacket with a fur vest over the top and a chiffon dress and I was totally inspired and this is how this outfit came about. I have added some extra layers for warmth as I have to say leather is not warm in really cold weather but putting the vest over the top adds some much needed insulation. I am also finding mittens are a better choice over gloves because of the rings I wear my hands are warm and I can still wear my rings comfortably we have to consider these things as we need to be both stylish and warm :))))

Brrrrrrr it has been proper cold but I love it people think I am a little odd but this is my kind of weather. I dug out all the fur I own and wore it all in one outfit. The top I am wearing is a new purchase from Topshop I will do a post and show you it properly as it has such a fab shape to it. I should really be doing Christmas shopping but I cant help buying things for myself I really need to focus on my shopping.

If you follow me on Twitter you would of read my tweets about my outfit today. I was getting a few strange looks on the bus and put it down to the fact that I was wearing silk shorts in freezing temperatures and I possibly looked a bit crazy. To be honest I was not cold up all and that sheepskin aviator jacket keeps me so warm.

I know it has been out a while but I pick myself up a copy of the new H&M mag on my lunch break I had a little nose around too cant say I saw anything that exciting in my local H&M.

My Heart Goes 2 Topshop

I love Topshop and this season's collection is fabulous they have really channeled this seasons knitwear trend and have the most fabulous pieces. I literally cant take this cardigan off I brought it last week with these shorts which are also fabulous and I know I will wear loads, they are made from the most beautiful silk and the colour is stunning.

As you can see the spare room is finished just waiting for the carpet to be laid which is being done today :)) this was the room that I did a few photos in with the bare plaster and pink walls.

It was time to pick an item fom the Blue Inc's website again so I decided to check out their shoe collection and found these beauties I have wanted a pair of wedges like this for ages and I am so pleased with them check them out for yourselves here . I decided to team them with black socks as it was a little chilly today and I love the contast of the black against the beige. I can see me getting lots of wear from these and they will be great in the summer too :)))

Everytime I buy something in Topshop I am met by this image at the till point and I just love it. I find it very inspiring I cant keep my eyes off of it. My outfit is loosely based around this image. Ohhh and I could kick myself for not getting those shorts.

Lazy Dressing

So after my style rut on Tuesday I decided a new purchase was well needed just a little something so I popped into Topshop and found this amazing ring check it out here which put a smile on my face. Todays outfit is a mix of Tuesday and Wednesdays outfit well I just swapped the shorts for the pleather trousers what I call lazy dressing. This jumper is fast becoming my favorite piece in my wardrobe at the moment.
