Dress H&M (diy by moi), Cycling Shorts H&M, Gladiators Jeffrey Campbell (old), Sunnies Vintage Lanvin my Aunties

Hello 24 degrees we are having some seriously warm weather here in the UK. You might remember my diy from this post here. Well because the weather has been so fabulous I have been able to wear some of my pieces for summer. This so perfect in warm weather it feels like I am wearing nothing so I am quite happy that I sacrificed my H&M maxi dress.

I love this kimono and I cant stop myself from spinning and twirling in it :) the temperature has dropped a little and even though it looks quite warm I have to admit it was a little bit cold for bare legs it is after all still April but I still cant believe what gorgeous weather we have been having. I am wearing my much loved and very old moccasins I am not a big lover of flat shoes but these are the exception.

I love sourcing things sometimes I wish I had a huge disposable income and that I could buy everything I wanted but sadly I haven't and where would the fun be in that. I love looking at designer images and then sourcing my own version of it from the High Street or ebay. I love this little fringe bag it is from ASOS check it out here and it was only a tenner it was the long fringing that caught my eye.

Kimono Topshop, Dress Topshop, Wedges Blue Inc

Last week I got a message from the gorgeous Melissa of Princess and the Pea saying that there was the most amazing fringed kimono that had just arrived on the Topshop website I could'nt believe my eyes when I saw it straight into my basket it went and I was checking out. A few hours later it had literally sold out. Anyway when it arrived it was even more beautiful than the picture on the website it is by far my most favourite item of clothing that I own ever.

I decided to team it with more fringing oh and feathers :) what the heck but this is going to be awesome in the summer thrown over everything.

Vest H&M, Levis Cut Offs ebay, Boots (old), Shawl Miss Selfridge (old), Necklace Topshop via ebay, Rings Topshop & Margie Heart Vintage

I have had so much fun this month buying things. I have been on ebay buying Levis to turn into shorts this pair being one of them. Then I decided that I really wanted that dip dyed fringe necklace and of course Topshop had sold out ages ago but hey yep I found one on ebay. The silver ring was a little treat on a lunch time shopping spree opps along with a huge turquoise pendant both from Toppers.

My outfit was inspired from Inside my Head and my Wardobe check her out she has gorgeous style and an amazing wardrobe of fabulous Topshop pieces could not help poaching her shawl idea I have had this one for ages.

Yet Another DIY

Photobucket

Images via Style.com

I am attaching feathers to everything I found this gorgeous printed scarf by Therapy check it out here I attached feathers to two corners to give it a bit more interest and to channel Roberto Cavalli's AW11 collection I am pleased to see that the Boho look with lots of fringing and feathers is still going to be strong in AW11

I have been buying a few things on ebay mainly Levis to turn into shorts and some other bits and bobs will share them with you soon xoxo

It is going to be great when the weather gets warmer but I could'nt wait till then so I decided to team it with my maxi dress shame I still have to wear tights. The best thing about these pictures is that I took them at 6pm which means the nights are getting lighter whoop whoop.

You guys seemed really interested in the feather post so I have found some links where you can buy dream catchers. This ebay seller has some beautiful ones check them out here and Wakan Tanka has some amazing Native American Products including dream catchers check it here

The one I have on my bag is customized by moi I removed the middle attachment which is now on a neckalce and added these longer feathers which I brought from ebay. Just incase you was wondering :)))

The lastest addition to my wardrobe this fab snake skin print kimono which means one item is ticked off my Spring Summer must have list. This is going to go with so many things and it also looks great belted, tucked in and worn the other way round tucked in so a multi purpose item. I am also wearing the fringed belt from this post here that I made from a pair of broken pleather trousers.

Trousers Boo Hoo, Tops New Look, Bag Label Lab, Hat New Look, Boots Dune

I have been lusting over a pair of sheer leopard print palazzo pants for ages I found these ones on Boo Hoo and was undecided whether to get them or not as Boo Hoo can be a bit hit and miss anyway for £7.00 I thought it was worth the chance I cut the nasty white lining out as you can see I need to do something about the back of them as it looks like I am wearing a pair of nasty white g strings I can assure you that I am not. I put a pair of black tights under them but I will be ditching them in the summer for black granny knickers.

Homemade

I have been doing a little bit of DIY. As I have mentioned before I want fringing and feathers to feature in my wardrobe for next season so I made this fringe belt to go over denim cut offs from a pair of broken pleather trousers and I missed out on the F21 dream catcher necklace so I brought one from ebay and put it on a chain. Hopefully these cost effect diy's will update my wardrobe and give my outfits a twist.

Going Native

Poncho ASOS, Dress Topshop (old), Boots Topshop, Pouch H&M, Bag Label Lab

Why is that you reach a certain point in a season and your wardrobe seems to get smaller. I have reached that stage yet again it is like because I know Spring is coming I am not interested in my winter wardrobe any more. Whatever it is it is slightly annoying as I feel totally uninspired by what is in my wardrobe. I know I have written this before so it is a bit like change the record Giselle I think I need to go shopping and add some interesting pieces to update my winter wardrobe I have a few things in mind like kick flared jeans, snake print sheer blouse, a fringed waistcoat the list is actually endless so I will finish now.
