The Best, Worst & Wackiest Fashions Of The Academy Awards

BEST: Winter's Bone Best Actress Nominee Jennifer Lawrence looked red hot in a custom made Calvin Klein Collection halter gown.

Hailee Steinfeld co-designed her gorgeous Marchesa crystal dress

WORST: The Fighter nominee Melissa Leo definitely grabbed attention in her mirrored gold and white gown which was custom made for her by Marc Bouwer, but we couldn't get past the awkward neckline and strange slit

BEST: Could Mila Kunis look any sexier in her lavender Elie Saab Spring 2011 gown? The Haute Couture creation barely covered her body, but managed to look classy instead of trashy. Only The Black Swan babe could pull off this look, which she finished off with Neil Lane bling.

BEST: Mandy Moore looked dreamy in her sparkly Monique Lhuillier gown. Hello, Old Hollywood!

BEST: Michelle Williams rocked a stunning and sophisticated Chanel gown, which featured impeccable beading.

BEST: Navy blue was the perfect hue to bring out Amy Adams natural beauty. Her sparkling L'Wren Scott Fall 2011 gown graced her figure in the best way possible, while Cartier jewels blinged up the look.

BEST: Florence Welch for an understated by pretty victorian Valentino gown.

BEST: Anne Hathaway brought out the bombshell with her scarlet red Valentino gown, which featured a side bustle.

WACKY: Cate Blanchett clearly stepped out of her comfort zone with her lilac Givenchy Haute Couture gown, which was beaded in lilac and yellow. The attention-grabbing gown just wasn't a great choice for the Academy Award winning actress.

WORST: Scarlett Johansson stunned in a one of a kind lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana. The newly single star, who is the cosmetic and fragrance brand ambassador for the Italian brand, ruined the look with her totally unruly hairdo.

BEST: Justin Timberlake, who brought along his mother, was terrifically tuxedo in Tom Ford, which the iconic designer tailored himself.

BEST: Hilary Swank got glammed out in Gucci, wearing a sequined and feathered strapless gown, which clung to her hard body.

WORST: Marisa Tomei's Charles James Vintage gown was a bit too big and frou frou for the petite actress.

BEST: Sharon Stone may be over 50-years-old, but she is still one of the sexiest stars in Hollywood, proving it by hitting the red carpet glammed up and gorgeous in a one-shoulder, feather embellished gown.

BEST: Penelope Cruz looked post-preggers perfect, showing off her already svelte bod in a skintight, scarlet red L'Wren Scott jeweled dress.

BEST: Reese Witherspoon looked beyond beautiful in a black and white Armani Prive strapless gown, wearing her blonde hair up in a high ponytail.

WORST: Nicole Kidman experienced a fashion flop in a Christian Dior creation, had an oragami-like feel to it.

BEST: Gwyneth Paltrow looked sleek and sexy in a silver Calvin Klein gown, which featured a plunging neckline.

BEST: Red is the new black! Sandra Bullock rocked a sensational scarlet Vera Wang gown.

BEST: Helen Mirren was a delightful Dame in a pretty pewter, sharp-shouldered Vivienne Westwood Couture gown.

WACKY: Helena Bonham Carter turned to costume designer Colleen Atwood to create this 1800's look, upping the wacky factor as usual in the most entertaining way possible.
